Marcus joined the A La Carte team in 2012, and wasted no time making his mark on parties and clients alike. With years of experience in the service industry, and a Bachelor’s in English from Sam Houston State University, Marcus uses his keen eye for detail and resourceful problem-solving to help cultivate and execute fantastic flawless events for our clients. Whether it’s designing a custom cake topper, putting together a fabulous floral arrangement, or working with clients to come up with creative service and menu options, Marcus does it all.
“Cooking and designing have always been two of my favorite things to do. While most other people my age were probably thinking of all of the tasty food they’d EAT at holiday gatherings and get-togethers, I was searching for fun, delicious food that I could MAKE for family and friends. Desserts are a favorite of mine, everything from Red Velvet Brownies to Handmade Turtle Candies. Event planning allows me to do what I love most, create; take a client’s idea and turn it into something awesome.”
“My goal is to alleviate the worry and stress that comes with hosting an event. Being able to have our clients enjoy and be engaged in their event, not fretting about the details, is one of the greatest perks of what I do. That’s when I know I’ve done my job. There are bound to be challenges along the way, but I welcome them. They’re simply opportunities for my team and me to exercise our creative muscle. It keep us on top of our game!”
