Shannon formally joined the A La Carte team in 2015 to help prepare for the company for its next stage of growth. His primary responsibilities are administration, systems, finance and accounting.
Since 2011, he’s been the fill in bartender, guinea pig for new recipes, and unofficial extra-ice-fetcher. “Laura and I bartended together after college, so stepping in to help with parties comes naturally.”
After graduating from business school in 1998 he joined Chase Manhattan’s Global Investment Bank and later Chase Asset Management’s Small Cap Mutual Fund as an equity analyst. “A La Carte’s focus has always been on exceeding client expectations. I’m here to put the systems in place so we can take care of even more.”
Shannon holds an M.B.A. from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship, and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Finance from The New College at the University of Alabama. He is a former U.S. Army Officer and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Prior to joining A La Carte, he operated two rapidly growing oil & gas exploration and production companies. Earlier he held consulting and operational positions in start-up, turn around and growth businesses in a variety of industries, which prepared him for taking A La Carte to the next level.
